I wanted to do a giveaway for ages and I already have the nail polishes for a while. Before I didn't do the giveaway because I didn't had time. Some of you may have notice my last posts all have been schedule. Now, I don't know if I can do the giveaway because during Christmas time, I send some nail polishes to a friend that lives in Europe. The package was sent back because apparently now nail polish is not allowed to be sent by post. I never hear of this before. First time this happen to me. I don't know if I can do the giveaway International has if the winner lives abroad, I may not be able to send the Prize. Anyone had the same problem ? Any suggestions ?

I know that some Indie nail polish brands are still sending them out internationally, but there's a certain price foundry for customs or something. I also know there's been a few problems.
ReplyDeleteI would maybe just go to the post office and enquire.
I did giveaways before and I never had any problem. Christmas time they sent my package back because it had nail polish and even just return meonly half of the post I paid. has they charge me handling fee to return the packaging. My poor friend did not get her christmas present.
DeleteNail Polish isn't allowed to be shipped outside of the UK. People still do it though by not telling whole truths on the customs form.
ReplyDeleteThey not even asked to fill a form because was in Europe they just sent the package back saying it had nail polish that is not allowed to be sent.
DeleteI certainly hope that's NOT the case since I just ordered a ton of A Englands. O_o The thing about sending polish overseas (either way) is either put "cosmetics" or "gift" on the customs form or send it by boat. I haven't heard anything about the laws changing.....
ReplyDeleteMaybe to shops they don't do that. I don't know. Maybe I was unlucky. I sent nail polish before with no problem.
DeleteIt´s really a shame! I had no idea of this problem...
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend! :-)
Me neither. have a good weekend :)
DeleteWell try again - with all the polish traveling all over the world there is a chance that you will have no problems next time...
ReplyDeleteheheh I may do but they just return half of the postage I paid :)
DeleteIt is not easy to send polish internationally, wonderful government regulations are getting in the way of the free exchange of nail polish! Something must be done to break the chains so our polish doesn't know borders! Shaking my fist at chains! Seriously, it is sad : ( You are very nice to want to share your nail polish with the whole world! We need more nail bloggers like you.
ReplyDeleteThank you :)
DeleteI'd never heard that before! How silly!
ReplyDeleteI agree :)
DeleteSame here.. even i was not aware of any such thing.. its weird.
ReplyDeleteDid they return some of the postage you paid? When I have had my polish returned, the postage is just lost :/
ReplyDeleteThey return only half of the cost of the postage.
